While they work, welding guns wear out their electrode tips. This leads to lower quality in the point welds. Manually cleaning the tips causes excess down times that detract from the goal of the shortest possible manufacturing time.

• The automated electrode tip dressers from LUTZ Precision solve this problem optimally, while placing a great emphasis on avoiding unnecessarily large material removal, since this increases the operational life of the electrodes several times.

Different electrode tip dressers are required for different work environments:

• For stationary welding guns, there are tip dressers temporarily brought into the work position by an electrically or pneumatically driven swing-arm mechanism. This assures a variety of positioning options, which ensures that adjustment to conditions proceeds quickly and smoothly.
• With robotic welding guns, the robots can move the weld gun into the tip dresser service position. In addition to automated tip dressers, we also have hand-held models for manual tip dressing.

The special design of our tools, material specifications and surface coatings guarantee long operational lifetimes for these tools.

• The sales program encompasses cutter tools for all ISO-standard electrodes (like ISO 5821) as well as for all common tool holders. Every cutter tool is tested individually and most of them have features for sensing rotation. The titanium coated HSS-cutting plate, core of every insert, is replaceable.
